The below FAQs should be read and construed in light of, and subject to, all terms, conditions and exclusions contained in the Policy.
You're covered for your trips to Europe or Worldwide including USA, Canada and the Caribbean (excluding Cuba) or Worldwide excluding USA, Canada, the Caribbean and Cuba, depending on the option you chose when buying this policy. The area of travel is shown in your policy certificate
Our annual multi trip policy covers you for individual trips of up to 31 consecutive days. If you select our winter sports option, you will be covered up to 21 days per Period of Insurance whilst you participate in winter sports either abroad or in the United Kingdom. There is also an overall limit of 90 days per period of insurance.
In respect of annual multi-trip policies, if a Journey continues beyond the expiry date of Your Policy or a Journey has been booked which begins after the expiry date of Your Policy You must buy a new Policy if You wish cover to continue before you depart the United Kingdom. If You do not buy a new Policy, the remaining period of the Journey or any future Journey which has been booked will not be covered after the expiry date of this Policy.
Our policies are available to customers who are 69 years of age or under at the time of purchasing this Policy
Unfortunately, no. Policy holders must be at least 18. You can only be covered as an insured person under your parents or grandparents policy
You can purchase your travel insurance as late as the day your travel begins, provided that it’s before the start of your journey.
We will not be liable to make any payment under this Policy where you are taking part in sports or winter sports in a professional capacity or for financial reward or gain. whilst this is the case the policy will provide cover if the sports are non-professional and not being played for reward subject to the approved activates provided within the policy wording. For winter sports activates the winter sports extension needs to be purchased.

If it’s a medical emergency and you are admitted to hospital, after cover is confirmed our emergency assistance service will guarantee the fees of the hospital and attending doctor(s) - so you don’t have to pay. In cases where the expenses are small, you may opt to pay, or be asked to pay, and claim the money back. Yes, for all medically necessary and reasonable cost to provide emergency dental treatment for the relief of pain only, outside of the United Kingdom, up to £250.
Cover is offered worldwide excluding North Korea, North and South Sudan, Iran, Syria, Cuba, and any other OFAC-sanctioned countries.
Chubb Travel Insurance offers an optional cover extension for business travel which can be bought at the same time as the basic policy.

The excess is the first amount of a claim that you must pay. Chubb does not cover this.
Excess Waiver can be purchased as an optional cover on Chubb Travel Insurance and would mean that no excesses would apply in the event of claims.
If You want to cancel Your Policy
If, for any reason, You are not satisfied with this Policy, You may, within 14 days of receiving Your Policy and Policy Schedule contact us on 0800 519 9927 or chubb.traveluk@chubb.com and We will cancel it. If this happens the Policy will have provided no cover and We will refund any premiums You have paid, providing no Claim(s) have been reported or paid and you have not traveled. For cancellation after 14 days You must contact Us on 0800 519 9927 or chubb.traveluk@chubb.com. We will cancel it from the date Your instructions are received or any later date You give Us. We reserve the right to charge You a premium proportionate to the cover that has been in force up to the date of Your cancellation. If We have paid a Claim, in whole or part, then no refund of premium will be made.
If Personal Property is Lost or misplaced for at least 12 hours on Your outbound Journey by the airline or other carrier, We will pay up to the amount stated in the Policy Schedule to reimburse You for the cost of essential items of clothing, medication, toiletries and Mobility Aids that You have to purchase.
If Personal Property is Lost, damaged or stolen during Your Journey, We will pay Repair and Replacement Costs up to £300 for single articles and up to £2,000 in total.
If the Money You have Lost or had stolen includes travelers cheques, You must make every reasonable effort to notify the local branch or agent to gain a police (and hotel management if the theft occurs in a hotel) and crime reference number/report to support your claim.
You can purchase Chubb’s Winter Sports Equipment Cover add-on that will cover your winter sporting equipment if it’s damaged or stolen during your journey up to the limit establish in the policy wording.
